The Diamondbacks have acquired Mike Leake

The Diamondbacks have acquired Mariners starting pitcher, Mike Leake, per multiple reports.

Leake has had an okay year in Seattle, posting a 4.40 ERA as well as a WAR of 2.0. With a SO9 of 6.6, Mike pitches to contact, which has caused him to give up 153 hits in 137.0 innings this season.

According to brooks baseball.net, Leake has “relied primarily on his cutter (87mph), Sinker (88mph) and Change (84mph), also mixing in a Slider (80mph) and Fourseam Fastball (89mph). He also rarely throws a Curve using a Knuckle Curve grip (79mph).

Leake is set to become a free agent after the 2021 season. Right now we do not know who is headed the other way but we will continue to update this blog post as we know more.
