Reports say Adrián Beltré would accept a trade to the Cubs. Should they pull the trigger?

MLB Insider, Jon Heyman, released an article about 20 possible names that could be on the move this August. Listed in the article was veteran Adrián Beltré.

Heyman says, “While it was thought he’d be unlikely to accept a trade to the Braves, the chances are believed better that he’d approve either the Cubs or his old Red Sox team, whose respective third basemen Kris Bryant and Rafael Devers have battled injuries (Bryant is still out and Devers just returned Wednesday).”

Basically Heyman is saying that he believes Beltré would accept a trade to the Cubs. But how much would it cost? I’d definitely take Beltré. Who wouldn’t? He’d be a great clubhouse guy and a veteran leader. But do we want to give up on David Bote? Or Javy? I understand the idea, but I just don’t see it going down. I like my triple Bs on third already.
