Top Three Performers

1 3B Jason Vosler– 4-4, one double, one solo home run, two runs scored, and two RBI’s

2 RF Mark Zagunis– 2-3, two runs scored, two walks, one home run, and three RBI’s

3 RP Dillon Maples– 1 inning pitched, one walk allowed, and three strikeouts

The Iowa Cubs are now 42-70 this season

Tennessee Smokies 5, Jackson Generals 2

Top Three Performers

1 C P.J. Higgins– 2-5, one run scored, two RBI’s

2 SP Keegan Thompson– 5 innings pitched, five hits allowed, one earned run, three walks, and three strikeouts

3 RF Eddy Martinez– 3-5, one run scored, and one RBI

The Smokies are now 54-57 overall, and 18-23 in the second half

Myrtle Beach Pelicans 0, Potomac Nationals 7

Top Three Performers

1 LF Zach Davis– 2-3, two singles

2 2B Yeiler Peguero– 2-4, two singles

3 RP Ryan Kellogg– 2 innings pitched, two hits allowed, and two strikeouts

The Pelicans are now 50-63, and 16-27 in the second half

South Bend Cubs 4, Bowling Green Hot Rods

Top Three Performers

1 LF Jose Gutierrez– 1-4, one run scored, one double, two RBI’s

2 RP Brian Glowicki– 2 innings pitched, one hit allowed, one walk, one strikeout, and his 3rd win of the season.

3 1B Austin Filiere– 2-4, one double

The South Bend Cubs are now 53-59 overall, and 19-24 in the second half

 

The Cubs Minor League Player of the Day is Iowa Cubs third baseman Jason Vosler. Vosler went 4-4, with one double, one home run, and two RBI’s.
