Top Three Performers

1 2B Stephen Bruno– 3-5, one double, two runs scored, and one RBI, CF Trey Martin- 2-4, two singles, one walk, three runs scored

2 CF Trey Martin– 2-4, two singles, one walk, three runs scored

3 SS Ryan Court– 1-4, one single, one walk, two RBI’s

 

Tennessee Smokies 7, Jackson Generals 1

Top Three Performers

1 C Ian Rice– 3-4, one double, one home run, one walk, two runs scored,  and one RBI

2 SP Michael Rucker– 6 innings pitched, three hits allowed, one earned run, no walks, and four strikeouts. Rucker was also 2-2 at the plate with two RBI’s

3 3B P.J. Higgins– 2-4, one double, one run scored, and one RBI

The Tennessee Smokies are now 54-57 overall, and 18-23 in the second half

1 SP Cory Abbott– 6 innings pitched, three hits allowed, no runs, one walk, and five strikeouts

2 3B Wladimir Galindo– 1-3, one of the teams two hits

3 LF Zach Davis– 1-2, one of the teams two hits

(Game 2) Myrtle Beach Pelicans 1, Potomac Nationals 2

Top Three Performers

1 DH Jared Young– 1-3, one solo home run

2 RP Yapson Gomez– 1 inning pitched, two strikeouts

3 C Michael Cruz– 1-3, one of the teams two hits

The Pelicans are now 50-62 overall, and 16-25 in the second half

South Bend Cubs 0, Bowling Green Hot Rods 6

Top Three Performers

1 LF Christian Donahue– 1-4, one double

2 RP Garrett Kelly– 2 innings pitched, two hits allowed, two unearned runs, one walk, two strikeouts

3 3B Austin Filiere– 1-3, one single, one walk.

The South Bend Cubs are now 52-59 overall, and 18-24 in the second half

 

The Cubs Minor League Player of the Day is Tennessee Smokies catcher Ian Rice. Rice went 3-4, one single, one double, and one solo home run. He scored twice, and had one RBI, leading the Smokies to a 7-1 victory over the Jackson Generals.
