The Yankees have acquired Zach Britton from the Orioles for Dillon Tate and prospects

The New York Yankees have acquired reliever, Zach Britton, from the Baltimore Orioles.

Britton has posted a 3.45 ERA in 15.2 innings pitched this season. This will be a nice piece for the Yankees bullpen as they make a push in the AL East. Britton is coming off a achilles injury, so that may be the reason for his slight struggles this season. Zach is set to become a free agent in 2019.

The Orioles will be receiving Dillon Tate and prospects per reports. We will update this blog post when we learn more.

8:09 PM update: the Yankees will be sending Dillon Tate, Josh Rogers, and Cody Carroll to the Orioles.
