Former Cubs star Carlos Zambrano is looking to make a baseball comeback.

You might’ve had to read this title twice, but we’re serious. According to David Kaplan, Zambrano is in great shape and is currently pitching for Leones de Yucatán in the Mexican League. Kaplan also says that Big Z hopes to pitch his way back to the big leagues.

I will always support Carlos Zambrano no matter his age, weight, or whatever. If Bartolo can still do it then why cant Zambrano? I can’t find his Mexican League stats anywhere so I can’t really back anything up. I guess it’s worth stating that in his final season in Miami, Zambrano was 7-10 with a 4.49 ERA. It’s also worth stating that those stats are from 2012.
