Joe Maddon fires back at Clint Hurdle…again

Joe Maddon and Clint Hurdle had some words for each other last week, and it does not appear that Maddon is done just yet.

Hurdle made comments on Javier Baez and Willson Contreras last week, which upset a lot of Cub fans and players. Maddon responded back a day or two later basically telling him to mind his own business, but he was not done. Just minutes ago Maddon stated that “his {Joe Maddon} protocol as a manager is to not comment on another team’s players in a negative sense unless that player is trying to hurt a Cubs player somehow.”

@670TheScore tweeted this:

I honestly like the comments being made by Maddon, because I believe that this will fuel the rivalry just a little bit more! I know Hurdle may be a little upset because of the way Baez acted, but who does not love some bat flips and showboating?
