Let me be the first to say, congratulations to UCF for winning the National Championship. Now about 50% of you reading this are mad. Sad! Some people just don’t want to accept the fact that the Knights would wipe the floor with Bama and Georgia. It’s simple math. Auburn beat Alabama and Georgia. UCF beat Auburn. Done. National Champions. The only outlier being that Georgia beat Auburn in the SEC Championship. So if Alabama beats Georgia in the fake National Championship*, then it’s final.
I find it funny that people are salty about UCF hosting a National Champions parade and raising a banner. Let them have their fun. Even if they did schedule better teams, they still aren’t a Power 5 conference. They wouldn’t be in the playoffs anyway because CFB “experts” are scared to add the AAC to make it Power 6. An undefeated season is a huge accomplishment. As well as beating Auburn, who beat both of the teams in the Championship* game. They’re a great team who didn’t get the recognition they deserved.
In all seriousness, do I think they should’ve been in the playoffs? Not at all. I do think they should’ve been ranked higher to get the credit they deserve. For everyone that is mad, calm down. They aren’t actually the National Champions. Or are they?
