Remember during the 2016 season when Pedro Strop and Travis Wood kept switching from left field to the mound? Imagine it with only one guy. That one guy? Shohei Ohtani.
David Kaplan reported that the Cubs were seriously interested in Ohtani, and thought that he’d fit both of the Cubs’ needs in the outfield and on the mound. Now if this guy works out as a two-way player, it’ll be insane. If he’s on the Cubs, even better.
I think he’d fit the Cubs atmosphere perfectly. Maybe I’m bias.
