Could the Cubs have a new third baseman?

Kris Bryant is still the Cubs main third baseman, but could Ian Happ be his backup?

Earlier today Mark Grote, who is the Chicago Cubs host on WSCR Chicago Cubs network tweeted this.

Why is Ian Happ taking grounders at third? Ian Happ is a utility player, but the Cubs already have a backup third baseman in Tommy La Stella.

The only reason that I think they might be putting him at third is because Tommy may get traded. The Cubs could go out and try to claim a reliever or starting pitcher off of waivers, and send Tommy the other way in the trade.

Why do you guys think Happ was taking grounders at third? Let us know on our twitter @1N2W_
