The Chicago Cubs will be adding some bullpen help very soon per Jed Hoyer
Earlier today Chicago Cubs GM, Jed Hoyer, stated that the Cubs will be adding to their bullpen when rosters expand in a few weeks. It will be interesting to see if the Cubs will go out and try to claim some bullpen pieces off of waivers, or if they will call up some people from AAA. We could see Pena, Dillon Maples, or Zastryzny get the call from the Iowa Cubs. They can also go after someone that is one waivers, but they might have to give up some talent depending on how well the pitcher is. I am not for sure who the Cubs who would go, but you never know what can happen with the waiver system.
The bullpen has been struggling a little bit of late, especially new-comer Justin Wilson. He has only pitched five innings, but it seems that he walks a lot of peoples and gives up a lot of runs. Carl Edwards Jr. has looked a little better, but he is still finding his groove.
We will continue to monitor what the Cubs do on our twitter @1N2W_.
