Could Chris Coghlan be headed back to Chicago?

News broke this morning that utility player Chris Coghlan has been DFA by the Blue Jays, and Chicago could be his next landing spot.

With Coghlan being DFA’D he can either be dropped in ten days, traded, or claimed by a team. With the Cubs still not receiving a player from the Montero trade could they be asking for Coghlan? Chris has put together some pretty good numbers in Chicago over the years so they might be interested in giving him another shot, especially if Kris Bryant’s finger injury becomes serious. Coghlan is a utility player so he can play wherever the Cubs need him.

We will continue to monitor this situation on our twitter @1N2W_ , and we will update you if this does end up happening.
