Nationals acquire RHP Brandon Kintzler from Twins in exchange for prospect LHP Tyler Watson.

The Nationals add much needed bullpen help in Kintzler. He hosts a strong 2.78 ERA in 45.1 innings pitched. Also has 27 strikeouts. We were waiting for the Nationals to make a move on Britton, Hand, or other relievers of the sorts. But, Kintzler is a great pickup as a buzzer beater before the deadline.

The Twins add a prospect pitcher, Tyler Watson, who has a 4.35 ERA in the minors. Only being 20 years old he has much more to show.

Overall, a great move on both sides. Nationals get a low risk reliever that tapes the bullpen, and Twins get a young pitching prospect who will grow through the minors.
