Francisco Liriano is headed to Houston

The Toronto Blue Jays have moved Francisco Liriano to the Houston Astros per multiple reports.

The Basics: Francisco Liriano has posted a rough 5.88 ERA in 82.2 innings of work this year. Liriano has the tendency to be wild, but he does have the stuff to get strikeouts when they are needed. Francisco is slated to be a free agent at the end of this year.

How Liriano can help: Liariano is going to attempt to be a big bullpen arm for the Astros. Right now the Astros are ranked 22nd in the MLB in bullpen ERA, this acquisition will help the their bullpen. The Astros are already really dangerous, but if they can get a solid bullpen then watch out.

The Return: Nori Aoki and Teoscar Hernandez are headed to the Jays. This year Aoki has posted a .272 batting average in 202 at bats. Hernandez has been injured this year.
