Blackhawks playoff time is here. SO GET HYPED. If you don’t know how, watch this 20 minute video of every goal the Blackhawks scored in the 2015 playoffs, or just read this. For the 3rd time in the Kane and Toews era, the Blackhawks meet the Predators for the first round of the playoffs. The Blackhawks have won twice and both led to the Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup (2010, 2015). I don’t love this match-up in the first round, but I’m a believer in history, and history says the Hawks win this series. Obviously it’s been a crazy year in sports so I won’t be surprised if the Hawks blow a 3-1 lead or something like that.
Should the Blackhawks be scared of Nashville?
No. Final answer. The Blackhawks won 4 of 5 games in the regular season, and their only loss came in the first of the series in Nashville. Plus, history is on our side. The last 3 times the Hawks played the Preds in the first round? Two cups. So why not this year? It kind of scares me because the Hawks are the favorites to win the cup. Nothing Nashville related. The only part of Nashville that would scare me is if Forsberg, Johnansen, and Arvidsson come out going 0 to 60 first shift. Other than that, comparing Nashville to Chicago is like comparing McDonalds to Chick-fil-a.
I’m no expert on the Cubs or Blackhawks. I’m just a huge fan. Not being too cocky with anything, but I’m taking the Hawks in 6. In 2010 and 2015 the series went to 6 games. The Blackhawks have only dropped one home playoff game, which was in Game 1 of 2010. AT MOST, 6 games. I would say 5 but I don’t want to jinx myself. I may seem very cocky but I’m just hyped for these playoffs. The quest for number 4 starts tonight. LETS RIDE! No facts. All facts.
